I have one problems with the staff at pleasant plains they are not a friendly bunch at all . I feel that yes teaching comes from home first , but when your children are in a atmosphere of people that are not friendly it is not good . It does not cost anything to smile be polite to children, guest entering your building . My daughter is in the gifted and talented program. She gets a lot of support to excel. I am a devoted single parent and really had to go that extra mile to make my daughter's experience a good one. I see some parent involvement among the mothers who are lucky enough to have that extra time during the day. That does not mean a lack of dedication from those of us whose circumstance does not allow us that time. Although I like Ms. Partilla, her staff can be off putting. I worked past that and not every parent will feel they should have to do that.
