William H. Lemmel Middle School Reviews

I was a student at william h lemmel before they closed it ! i love my school and i will never forget it

There are 3 more days of school and Lemmel will officially be black history. I wish all of my students the best of luck at their new schools. Good luck to all of the staff on their new adventures at new schools. Lemmel had many wonderful things going on that were overshadowed by negativity. Students working hard everyday to meet with success, students participating in the many after school activities that were offered, and dedicated teachers. Unfortunately, the parent involvement is and has been low. Parents need to understand that their job doesn't end in elementary school. Your children still need you! The many issues that we face stem from the lack of home guidance! Many times we are not only teachers but parents to many children. No matter what school you send your children to, please be active at home and at school!

I believe that lemmel is an excellent school to attend...It may have some ups and downs but it is still a great school...I hope that all those that wrote on this wall about the parent involvement are actually involved in their childs school, its so hard to try and manage behavior problems and the fact that you have kids who want to learn in the same environmment, because those who want to learn aren't getting much attention because all of it is on the bad kids....Bad behavior starts at home so maybe the parents or the guardians should try to help make this school an absolutely good school instead of trying ntio tear itr down,,,,,because it is an awesome schoolt to attend..

Lemmel isn't that bad of a school. I honostly enjoy being there as an 8th grade student. There may not be that much parent envolvement, but the students try hard. Being a student there myself, I know this. People might just walk in and get one glance at the students, teachers, and faculty and judge us but once you see how we work to graduate its a different story. Our Principle Ms.Cooke works so hard to make sure we do right and i really appriciate that. I love all of the teachers there (even though some of them can be kind of strict) F.Y.I Gate is not the safest class. It is in the same school with the same people, so if we aren't safe neither are they. But overall William H. Lemmel Middle School is great and I'm Proud to be there.

I am a 6 grade student at lemmel. There is a constant problem for safety at lemmel. Gate is the only safe class. Ms. Reed rocks, Ms.Waller rocks, Ms. Galarpe kinda rocks, Ms.Creasy rocks, Mr. Griff and Ms. Robbison rock the gym

who stated that lemmel ws a performing arts school. They lied! My daughter would love to take ballet, but the school does not offer it. The prinicpal Ms. Cooke sucks. It is like she does not nkow what she is doing. I hear the last principal was better. Teachers say they were happier and my niece and nephew say that it was a better school then. I wish I had more options for schools.

I think one of the reasons parent involvement is low at this school is because there are no allowances made for working parents. I have not received any notices (by mail) about any extracurricular activities the school offers or parent/teacher conferences. If you don't go to the school and look on the desk in the office you wont know anything that's going on. I guess they don't have money for postage.

At Lemmel parent involvement is kind of low. there are many fun activities such as a lacrosse team, baketball team and a lot of field trips. our school is now a performing arts school offering spanish, vocal music, instrumental music, ballet, and drama. the teachers are kind and helpful whenever you need them. the school disciplines well though and is turning the bad seeds into good students. i love lemmel. we learn in a fun way.

I think that the teachers are doing a great job with the money that they are recieving for the better of our kids. Some things they cannot control. the saftey there has been an issue but the dedication of the teachers is wonderful. they make their self easy to contact and always have time to talk to the parents on ways that we both can approve the education concepts for the children.

I think lemmel is a great school, the principal vera holley lets the students have fun while also learning. Also we have parents involed in cleaning up the school. And after this years msa test persons will see that lemmel is a great school. Also that the 8 graders will have many extracurricular activities after working hard from 6 grade until 8 they will have alot of closings activities. Thank you.

This school is terrible. The principal does not take the time to listen to what the children have to say. We were expected to answer homework questions without a textbook because there were not enough to take home.

Lemmel Middle is a fine school. The administrators there are very helpful and most of the teachers want to see the students excel. Parent involvement is very low.
