Pimlico Middle School Reviews

Think that pimlico is doing much beter than it was in 2004 when another principal was there. I still think that they need help. I don't think these kids are really bad i just think they need some guidence and the teachers don't help them that way.

The teachers don't get support. Too many children are allowed to be mainstreamed. The staff did not respond to my letter -- even a request for a document that went to the principal. No one forwarded it to the right person -- it just sat there. I called several times -- finally, I got the name of the right person who could help me. I had to hold a reinstatement meeting with a teacher out in the hall because there were no private rooms.

My daughter is a student here at Pimlico and I have to say far as the staff they are no help to the concered parents. It is really hard to try teach your child the importance of going to school if the teachers dont even want to be there. You chose this career then ou have to have some kind of behavorial control lessons.I respect any person that chooses to help kids as thier proffeession but you also can not stoop to their level.

Pimlico Middle School leaves much to be desired as relates to leadership. While there are some exceptional leaders at the school, there are some people in more authoritative leadership positions whose positions shold be reconsidered. The only way to ensure a culture of positive learning is to see to it that the head of the institution enforces that culture, meaning he/she must first endorse it him/herself. I do not anticipate sending my children to Pimlico unless it changes from the head down. This is ideal, but doable and when it happens, I will allow all of my chidlren to walk its halls.

Pimlico Middle School is not a good school at all. My daughter attended the school from 1998-2000. The leadership was terrible. The students were fighting and running the school. It was in total chaos. Overall, my daughter did learn, even though the classroom was full of clowns that did not want to learn at all. I observed one of my daughter's classes and its activities, and I was shocked and appauled. The students were disrespectful. They were cursing, braiding hair, fighting, throwing paper across the room, and crudely touching one another. I don't know if the school has improved for the best, but my daughters experience at Pimlico Middle School, was not a good one.
