This school to me is execellent.This school has and advance academic(ingenuity) program which refer you or try to give you an outlet of middle schools to attend and a tutoring after school program. The only negative thing I could say is that they have teacher who are still teaching sence I was there (1977)that may not have enough tolerence for theese baby boomers. Unfortunately one of my kids didn't follow the same footsteps as another child with teachers.She was selected to go to a teacher who was more concern about discipline then teaching. I'm not the only parent who notice this . The new Principle is down to earth and make you feel like your a part of his own family. MR. English recognize the parents and each child or children if you have multiple and put your situation into” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 5 2006-02-16 “I am very please with the amount and level of homework given at the school. Teachers and staff are very friendly and welling to help. The school has a excellent after school program. The shcool has several clubs/activities for the students. Staff and student moral seems to be high. I am very pleased with the school. I feel that Northwood is one of the best, if not the best, elementary schools in Baltimore City.”
