Hamilton Middle School Reviews

I as a student of hamilton middle school think that hamilton middle school is a very good school excellent teachers students and a lovely principal Dr jo ann Cason

In my opinion hamilton is not that bad of a school. Besides how brokedown it is on the inside. It is possible to learn there if you work hard.My first year there i was one the best students at the school. I was good, worked hard and ignored the negative influences. Now this upcoming school year i'm an 8th grader and in the academy. With dr.Cason the final two years of hms will be excellent

I as a student of hamilton middle school thinks that Hamilton isn't that bad. To me the teachers don't work hard enough to help us then we will learn more. It's that the teachers let the students run over them. And the parents don't get into there children work or just not interusted. But i bet if the parents work hard along with our awsome princible (Dr. Cason) The last to years of hamilton middle school would great.

My son's first year at Hamilton Middle School was last year and it was horrible. The teachers do try (some of them) to teach the children but the majority of the students can't learn or don't want to learn. The school is horrible what is the point of having police officers if they don't do anything when the children are smoking and playing in the halls instead of in class. I've tried my best to transfer him all summer but the Baltimore City School system doesn't even know proper procedure for transferring students. I am now in the process of putting my children in private school.

I initially thought the new Principal Conner would do a better job. She sure sounded tough as she welcomed students into the school on the first day, but after this year, its back to same old complaints that people had with the other principal, Gibson. The principal is often absent from the school. Students damage the neighborhood with no reaction from the school administration. At least some sort of statement from the school should be made, otherwise, its just as bad, or worse as the school has been in the past.

'There's a new sheriff in town'-New Principal, Ms. Christine Connor is making huge strides to change the image of Hamilton and its students. I think she is a good catalyst for this change and I wish her well. So far it seems to have improved since the time my first daughter was enrolled. I took her out, opting to home school instead. Now, my second daughter has matriculated in the Culteral Enrichment Academy and it seems to be a different atmosphere. I'll at least give her and her staff this first semester.

I spoke to my child's math teacher about getting him some tutoring assistance because he has been struggling in math for quite a while. her response was that he was not the only child that has been struggling in math, but the way they picked the children who are currently receiving tutoring help was picked randomly. therefore, i felt that she is not a very productive advocate for my child if she knows how poorly he's doing and she did not recommend him to receive the help that is available for him.

Hamilton Middle School is an overcrowded school with rowdy and unruly students. The teachers try their best to control their classes but they do not have the support of administrators and parents.

Hamilton Middle is a terrible school. Children are roudy, teacher cannot control the students, and there seem to be no structure. My child does not learn at Hamilton, but instead he only seems to pick up bad habits from his peers. Hamilton has a 6 percent reading percentage and a 7 percent math percentage. That is almost the lowest in the state of Maryland. Sending your child to Hamilton is the worse thing that you can do.

This school is ridiculous and I may move just to send my child some other place. The principal, Gibson, is a joke and fraud. He never seems to be at the school and even when he is around the school he has the attitude that he is far too important to talk to a parent. He is a liar and do not believe anything he has to say. He sounded like he was hard when we had our first assembly, but he never did anything he said he was going to do! The building is a mess and unsafe. The students are out of control and the teachers do not have any help at all.
