This school is pretty awsome but there kind of is a problem with bullying that i hope the school can fix and some of the teachers are pretty awsome!!

My son is in 8th and had attended Old Mill for 6th & 7th. I have not heard of any problems regarding bullying. But, I do agree that there should be a website that parents can access to check homework assignments for each class, each evening. My son has a tendancy to say he doens't have homework. if he doesn't complete his assignment book, then i cannot confirm if thats true or not. It has affected his grades tremendously and other than email's after the fact, i have no control over the situation. I do agree that the teachers are very good at keeping in touch with the parents, when the parents initiate. At Old Mill, they have a homework hotline and website to check what homework has been assigned each and every day. Other than that, I think they have done a great job! Keep up the good work.

I never knew this page was here, and on reading the reviews I would be concerned about sending my child to Lindale, but, I feel the reviews that are less than favorable are old (several years ago) and seem to only be about bullying. There is a wonderful principal there now and he is doing a great job. My third child in now in 8th grade, and I have a 9th grader that has just entered the IB program. I am involved in the school and I do not think the concerns of the parents from 2004 about bullying apply any more. Now, there are some kids who just seem to attract bully's for whatever reason and it will not make a difference where they go to school, but I feel bullying is dealt with appropriately at Lindale. The teachers are wonderful. My son was in AVID, great program!

my son started last year and was bullied all the time. The harassment also happens in the private school sector as well, its just a different level of bullying. The school did take care of several of the more serious incidents, but I think they let it go longer than needed especially when its with the same individual. The teacher's are good at communicating if you need to talk with them and the children can stay after if they start to fall behind. The only thing I would like to see in the AACO public school system is the ability to see dynamically the grades online and the projects, classwork, and homework. As a parent I take an active role in my child's education. He is now in eighth grade and is liking the school much better this year.

My son has had a great experience at Lindale and is a straight A student. The teachers are dedicated and the leadership is strong. There are many programs for the children to excel in education.

Every school has its challenges; however, I would like to comment on a positive event happening at Lindale. To encourage every student to try their hardest on the MSA test, teachers developed an incentive called Lindale Summer Fun Day! Every student who scored proficient or advanced on both the math and reading portions of the test were sent an invitation. The event will feature a moon bounce activity, many carnival games, a DJ, great door prizes such as certificates, books, and CDs, as well as a fun bubble blowing contest and Tug-O-War with a baby pool in the middle! The teachers have worked extremely hard to make this event a success and more importantly to make this event free to all qualifiers. We hope events such as Lindale Summer Fun Day will change the opinions of community members and parents who often overlook the positive interventions developed to improve our school.

This school is diffintely one of the worst in AAC! if you are new to the Linthicum area I would strongly advise sending your child to a private school. The bullies are never disciplined and they get away with everything. I moved from Balt city to AAC. Thinking I was giving my children a safer enviroment. I was wrong! the schools here are getting just as bad as the city! My 6th grader will not be returning next year!

Stay away from this school. Bullying/harassment are not taken seriously. The learning environment is not safe or effective. Disruptive students--repeat offenders--are not dealt with effectively (repeated suspensions do not work). Smart kids can easily fall through the cracks. My child was in the 99th percentile (reading) and 89th percentile (math) but was never noticed. Teachers change like the wind. You have 'permanent subs' leaving and subs subbing for subs. Classroom disruptions are overwhelming as is the overall lack of discipline, consistency, and focus. Average students who want to learn may find this extremely difficult. Some of the staff really care, but there is no consistent enforcement of school policies. Even when you complain, you rarely get effective results. My teenager does not want to return to school (any school) after experiencing 3 miserable years at Lindale. You'd be better off finding a different school or try home schooling.

My son started 6th grade at Lindale in the 2005-2006 school year. I was really concerned, big school and lots of kids. He did very well. He had advanced math and he had a great teacher. He learned a lot at Lindale, but he was a student who listened and paid attention. Unfortunately, there are alot of students who really don't care and that makes it hard on those who do want to learn. I feel like there are alot of 6th grade teachers who do care and do their best to teach those who want to learn. It only takes a few who don't care to make the few who do care miserable. Thank you teachers and staff for doing your best for making my child's experience in the 6th grade a good one.

What a waste of education dollars. My son was in the AVID program for the first 2 years of his 3yr stay at Lindale. It really is a pointless program that sounds all warm & fuzzy but doesn't deliver. Teachers (most of them) don't care enough to give a struggling student the appropriate attention they need. I have just shelled out $6,000.00 for Huntington Learning Center so that my son can be properly taught what his school should've been able to teach him. Hopefully high school will be better.

This school is a big disappointment! My son has been in it for 2 years now and I am looking forward to moving so he can attend a more caring and safe school. There is lack of communication between teachers and parents and newsletters are pointless since they come too late and that month has already passed. The class sizes are large.

Two years ago, I attended Lindale and am now in the International Baccalaureate Program. I felt that the school did an atrocious job to prepare its students for high school. Furthermore if you were an advanced student you were not treated as such.

My son started Lindale as a 6th grader during the 2003-2004 school year and I wish I had better feedback to give. The school needs drastic improvement on school/teacher/parent communication. The monthly newsletters that come out seem to arrive at our home two weeks into the month. Therefore, many of the activities and functions that occur in the beginning of the month, we've already missed. Also, the teacher seem to be 'babysitters' as opposed to caring teacher interested in actually teaching. The reward program for honor roll students leaves a lot to be desired. If your student has straight A's but misses a day of school, they are unable to participate in the 'luncheon' at the local banquet hall. You should be rewarding good grades, not penalizing students with health issues.

I think my school has a lot of resources and items that other schools don't have. There are great teachers!

My son started Lindale Middle School in the 6th grade in the 2002 - 2003 school year. He is now in the 7th grade. I was a little nervous about him going to such a big school being that he was coming from a small elementary school, however he has done just fine. I really like how Lindale has the grades levels in different parts of the school. My son really likes this school and so does my husband and I. The staff at Lindale Middle is great too, 'this school is wonderful'. What a nice thing it is to have your child happy going to school. I still have 2 other children that will be going to Lindale soon and I dont have a fear in the world. I'm very happy with Lindale Miiddle School.
