“I take great offense to the student who claims they were not properly prepared. Unselds' has a strong reputation of pushing its scholars along into academically challenging institutions. Most students must maintain that same drive that staff and parents have at Unselds'. Teachers, parents, staff and grandparents at Unselds' demand hard work and that must be consistent in high school! I have a hard time believing that a strong foundation dwindles into 'being behind' if one is working to the potential set! A standard at Unselds' has been set through a network of devoted individuals that foster more that academic excellence. A grammatically challenged review such as this student's claim states the obvious. A foundation was set, the lack of potential could only be the issue of a student lacking drive!”

“My son will be graduating from the Unselds' School next week, after attending for 3 wonderful years! He has been an honor student for the majority of the time that he was there, and consequently was accepted to 4 fine schools.(Cardinal Gibbons, Mt. St. Joe, Boys' Latin and Poly. In September, he will be a 9th grader at Boys' Latin. When my son entered Unselds', I must say that he was an average student. As he leaves, he has blossomed into a scholar, a gentleman and a polished young man. This is all thanks to the entire Unseld family!! This family lives and breathes these kids! They are devoted to their students and the quality of the education which their students receive. Chief among his influence, was Ms. Kim Unseld who can only be described as an enigma! She is all things, does all things, hopes all things and believes”

“I attend this school for most of my schooling. I have to say that unselds does have so positive and negative things about it. Postive: It taught me to be proud of my heritage and myself. It gave me a strong foundation. I attend roland park for high school and the this that unselds taught be about being black really helped there. Negative: I was not prepared for my transition into high school. A lot of things that i should have been taught academically in my earlier years i did not have. My first year in Roland Park was tough becasue I was way behing most of the other students. Overall unselds did a poor job in teaching me skills but an excellent in teaching me about my black heritage. I would not recomend you send your child her for middle school but it is an excellent school for elementray.”

“Our son started Unseld's school in August and he loves it. My son has been on the honor roll since he's been there and I believe they have only brought out the best in him. I love the fact that they have a very well rounded program and even teach the kids manners. The biggest problem I have with the school, is that it seems like it's not well organized. Parents are not very welcomed at any point. It became very frustrating not being able to see my son's teacher after many request. Also, a lack of commication and information given out. These things were very frustrating.Thank goodness we had a school calendar to refer too, because many times you are not reminded.My teacher's son was always present, dispite a finger operation. My husband and I like the school and my son loves the school, but our son won't be returning.”

“My son is currently enrolled in Unseld school and the drastic change in the way he looks and feel about himself is wonderful. He is not afraid to try new and exiciting challenges. He reads everything he can get his hands on. He wakes up every morning ready to put on his pressed uniform and headed out the door for fear he may be late. More then that is the faculty. They provides such a warm touch to each and every student. Giving the students such a clear sense of knowing what achievement is and how to get it through hard work. My hat goes off to each faculty member at Unseld.”

“My child attended the Unselds'school for 11 years and I am proud to say that I am a parent of an Usnselds' School alumni. The school provided my child with a powerful sense of moral values and self-confidence. As far as academics, my child maintained an honor roll status and was able to have one on one help with teachers when necessary or requested. This dynamic family oriented institution provides extra-curricular activities for all of the students who attend; these include drama productions, sports, community service projects, and other monthly programs. The success achieved at Unselds' School is not the duty of the teachers but the effort put forth from each individual student.”

“Unseld's School is not what it used to be years ago. The acedemic side of the school is great. The school lacks professionalism within the staff. The school doesn't offer anything with computers and technology. The summer program, is unorganized, they do not inform the parents of the activities that will be going on in the summer. I had my child there for a period of time and I noticed that his class was getting smaller and smaller. If you choose this school please think about seriously! Or else you will be sorry.”
