Cazbar Turkish Taverna: Belly Dancing Delights

Jan 7, 2010

Cazbar Turkish Taverna may very well be the only establishment in Baltimore that combines belly dancing with fine cuisine. This distinct eatery is the kind of place you want to go to when you want to brag about the ethnic delights of the city to your in-laws or your out-of-town corporate higher-ups.

The atmosphere at Cazbar is decadent and whimsical, full of robust colors and dramatic tapestry that is a delight to the senses. The menu at Cazbar is richly diverse and extensive, featuring much-loved Turkish cuisine with American classics.

To start your Cazbar experience, try the Baba Ghanoush with pita wedges or the Kebap Meze with lamb, beef and chicken and yogurt sauce. The feta cheese and parsley cigar pastries are also a delightful choice.

For your main meal, try the mixed grill entree with lamb, Kofte, beef and chicken kebap with pirzola, rice and salad. Other options include chicken, lamb, or beef shish kebaps; okra with lamb, garlic and tomatoes; Moussaka with eggplant, lamb and parmesan cheese and Manti-- turkish beef dumplings with yogurt and garlic butter.

A large variety of Turkish salads and sandwiches are also available. Don't miss the Soujuk panini with imported beef sausage and kasar cheese-- it's fabulous.

Be sure to save room for Czbar's famous baklava-- rich and buttery, it's a sinful delight that is the epitome of a perfect dessert.

Belly dancing shows take place each Friday and Saturday evening. Business dress and reservations are required. Banquet facilities for groups up to 100 are available. To make reservations or to inquire about banquet facilities, call (410) 528-1222.
