Photography is documenting life and culture. I express my feelings through my pictures, allowing me to find peace and a relaxed state of mind. Before I shoot a picture, I spend time becoming comfortable with the environment until I no longer need to focus to understand my surroundings. If I am not immersed in the culture and the environment, the image feels forced. I began my photographic career taking videos and snapshots of skateboarders and surfers. I moved to Redondo Beach California in October of 2002 where I filmed surf movies and did some print advertising for a surfboard company. I became passionate about travel photography in March of 2003, when I started assisting for photographers with big ad firms. This was a growth experience for me and allowed me to travel extensively. I began taking pictures whenever I could as a documentation of my journeys. It is rewarding for me to share these documentations and know that people enjoy them and create personal stories from them. Landscapes and Seascapes allow me to escape the hectic world that civilization creates. I am most comfortable alone on a beach or in a field, and my photographs take me back to that state of tranquility.
