Talbolt Johnson's Bio
Talbolt Johnson is a young and rising, aspiring artist. Since childhood, he has posessed an inherent sense of creativity and curiosity. Visual arts became his muse as he decided to attend Patapsco Highchool and Center for the Arts in 2001. There, he specialized in visual arts, and belonged to it's Art magnet. Johnson learned how to train his mind and his eye, and continue to work toward an artistic style that would best suite him. In 2004, he attended the Marie Walsh Sharpe Summer Art Seminar, 2nd session, in Colorado Springs. This was a national level art contest that chose the most artistically talented Juniors in the U.S.. In 2005, Johnson became a level 2 award Finalist at the NFAA ARTS WEEK 2005, held in Miami, Florida. He was one of 25 in the Visual Arts category, chosen as the top seniors in the Nation in their field. He then went on to participate in smaller state art contests and College art shows winning 3rd, 2nd, and 1st in division. After graduating Patapsco, Johnson has decided to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art. Since Highschool, Johnson has been expanding his horizons and exploring his art. He is always and forever searching for a new a fresh aesthetic to pierce through the viewers eyes and mind. Johnsons style ranges from realistic, to impressionistic, to surreal, and even abstract. He is inspired by all forms of inspiration, such as Dance, Music, or Poetry. Johnson has recently begun his explorations in including sociological undertones in his artwork, as the interactions of human beings on large and small scale inspires him. Johnson attempts to remain an open book, to learn and observe, and digest....
